Juvéderm Vollure XC is quickly becoming the go-to hyaluronic acid filler for treating those stubborn smile lines or static ‘parenthesis’ lines around the mid-face. Promising long-lasting results and a smooth and subtle look, we’re sharing everything you need to know about the newest dermal facial filler to hit the market (and our practice at Kline Dermatology).
What Is Juvéderm Vollure?
Juvéderm Vollure is the latest addition to the Allergan family of FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers, joining brands such as Volbella (for fine lines around the lips) and Voluma (most popular for correcting volume-loss around the cheek area). Similar to these brands, Vollure leverages VyCross technology, which involves better cross-linking between high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid. This technology helps achieve a more natural look without compromising on results.
What’s New, Better And Different About Juvéderm Vollure?
Vollure is unique because it offers up to 18 months of filler longevity, a huge improvement compared to other forms of injectable filler that have never exceeded 12 months. This makes it a cost-effective (and timesaving option!) for countless patients.
What Is Juvéderm Vollure Used For?
This dermal filler was designed to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the mid-face and mouth. In particular, what we call nasolabial folds and the horizontal chin lines and static marionette lines around the mouth are the perfect targets for this filler. In a clinical trial, 59% of subjects with moderate to severe nasolabial folds saw improvement after they were injected with Vollure, with 62% reporting that they were still satisfied with the results after 8 months.
Who Is The Ideal Candidate And What Are The Benefits?
The patient who will benefit most from this treatment would be someone over the age of 35 who would like to soften lines around the mouth for volume replenishment that looks naturally relaxed and youthful.
